The Executive Committee of the Faculty Senate makes recommendations to the Senate concerning academic matters and assures shared governance with the Faculty Senate, the听Provost听and the President of the University.听Suggestions made by the committee听听can only take effect when ratified by the Faculty Senate.听
The Committee consults with the Senate and the President on university-wide projects that impact the academic life of the University. It also serves as an advisory body to the President on faculty-related concerns and projects. Faculty members who would like to raise an issue for discussion in the Faculty Senate may submit their recommendations to the Executive Committee.听
One of the key roles of the committee is to keep the faculty manual up to date.听In consultation with the听Provost, the committee reviews the manual regularly, proposes changes as needed, and ensures the Senate votes on any updates.听Changes to the faculty manual must also be approved by the President and Board of Trustees.听

The Curriculum Committee is a standing committee of the Faculty Senate and reports directly to the Senate. The Committee鈥檚 role is to ensure the consistency and integrity of the university curriculum,听in accordance with听the educational goals of the institution.听
The committee evaluates curricular proposals听submitted听by faculty,听establishes听and reviews existing curriculum development procedures and develops and reviews curricular policies. It also provides guidelines for听submitting听new or revised courses, majors,听minors听and programs.听

The Global Liberal Arts Core Curriculum (GLACC) Committee is a standing committee of the Faculty Senate and reports directly to the Faculty Senate. The Committee鈥檚 role is to ensure consistency and continuity in 绿巨人视频鈥檚 core curriculum as per the University's educational goals. The Ethics Committee is a standing committee of the Executive Committee.听The function of the Ethics Committee is to uphold the ethical principles which undergird liberal arts education and The American University of Paris. The committee responds to requests from the听Provost听to hear specific instances where those principles may have been breached and听reports听to the Executive Committee.听

The Institutional Review Board (IRB) is a standing committee of the Executive Committee.听The primary purpose of the IRB is to protect the rights and welfare of human subjects involved in research activities. The Graduate Program Review Board is a standing committee of the Faculty Senate.听The Board's mission is to examine, adopt and review the curricula for proposed graduate programs and courses at The American University of Paris. The Appeals Committee is a standing committee of the Committee for Rank and Promotion. Its main role is to review appeals in the case where the Provost has upheld a negative recommendation or overturned a positive recommendation of the Committee for Rank and Promotion. Faculty may appeal the decision to the President of the University by June 1.听
