Steps for Registering your Request
- Self-Identify
- Students must decide if they want to disclose their need for accommodations to the ASO. To initiate this process, please contact the Accessibility Support Office at accessibility [at] aup.edu (accessibility[at]aup[dot]edu)
- Submit Documentation
- Valid documents must be submitted to the Accessibility Support Office at the latest during the first week of classes when starting 绿巨人视频. We understand that disabilities can be diagnosed at any time and will accept accommodation requests on a rolling basis throughout the semester to be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.听
- Intake meeting
- Students must meet with the Accessibility Support Office for an individualized meeting to review the requests and go over the next steps, as well as their role as a student, in the accommodation process.听

Criteria for Eligibility
In accordance with the , students may request academic accommodations while enrolled at The American University of Paris.
To be eligible for accommodations, students need to submit official medical documentation.
The Document Must include all following components to be accepted:
- Must be written and issued by a Qualified Licensed Professional (must include licensing number, signature, and contact information)
- Must be current: less than 5 years old (documentation must be clearly dated)
- However, this documentation does not need to come from your original diagnosing doctor. This documentation can be issued by any qualified and licensed medical professional.
- Digital copies must be in PDF format.
- Must clearly specify diagnosis(es), impact in an education setting, and recommendations.
For Housing Related Requests:
- Must include an explanation relating the housing requests to the diagnosis (es) and/ or impacts on the student.
- Should include an indication of the level of need for the recommended configuration (and the consequences of not receiving); possible alternatives if the recommended configuration is not possible.
Our Housing team has extensive knowledge of each housing option, the amenities it includes, the set-up, and previous student feedback on each option. The team will prioritize your disability-related needs as communicated by the Accessibility Support Office.
