Contacting Housing
Our staff are available Monday through Friday from 9AM to 5PM Paris time to provide advice and insight on the Paris residential experience and help you deal with any problems that may arise throughout your time at 绿巨人视频.
The best way to reach out to us is via email at housing [at] aup.edu (housing[at]aup[dot]edu). All of our staff members monitor the inbox to ensure as prompt a response as possible. As we are often on-site in the residences, consulting with colleagues on cases, or holding scheduled or walk-in appointments with students, we are not always able to answer the phone immediately. However, if you reach out to us via email, we are happy to schedule a time for us to call you and answer any questions you may have!

What do you bring to the team?
I studied abroad twice in Paris and never left after the second time!
I started my career in international higher education at NYU Paris, first as a Resident Assistant and later as a Student and Residential Life Coordinator. I then worked with a foundation that focused on youth development in the MENA region and later co-founded a nonprofit whose mission is to promote civic life in the MENA region. I am excited to be back working in residential life at 绿巨人视频.

What do you bring to the team?
I鈥檓 a former international student in both England and the US and a former 绿巨人视频 student (for both my bachelor鈥檚 and master鈥檚). At 绿巨人视频, I was a student advisor and a part of the Student Government Association, as well as many committees. I was also the University鈥檚 first residential advisor. All this taught me a lot about the University and what it means to be an 绿巨人视频 student.
Sandra's Advice for Living in Paris
Paris feels at the same time like a big and a small city. You keep discovering new treasures, but at the same time you get to know the people in your neighborhood really well. My street is like a village: everyone knows everyone. Those people will become your support group.

What do you bring to the team?
I grew up between France and the United States as a dual citizen, which allowed me to experience different educational systems from an early age and to understand firsthand the value of incorporating different cultures into one鈥檚 education. I went to DePaul University in Chicago for my bachelor鈥檚 degree, where I served as a peer mentor for three years. My time as a student leader instilled in me a true passion for supporting students as they acclimate to college. After completing my master鈥檚 degree at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, I worked at the university for two years, supporting the school鈥檚 humanities and foreign-language programs.
Constance's Advice for Living in Paris
Make sure to enjoy the slower pace of life and use it as an opportunity to get to know the city better. Whenever time allows it, I walk instead of taking public transportation, which has allowed me to map out Paris in my head much more easily and feel more comfortable getting around!

What do you bring to the team?
As a French American who grew up back and forth between the two countries, I have adopted a lifestyle of bouncing between communities. I have worked in Student Life in Secondary and Higher Education and am looking forward to helping 绿巨人视频 students settle in Paris.
Sariah's Advice for Living in Paris
Biking can be the fastest and most enjoyable way to get around! Paris offers incredible live music events: look up what concerts are coming up and of course F锚te de la Musique!

What do you bring to the team?
Having studied and moved abroad, I have experienced the trials and tribulations of cultural adaptation and being outside of one鈥檚 country (and comfort zone). During my studies, I was actively involved in club life and know the impact that community can have on people - especially students.
Aaron's Advice for Living in Paris
Paris offers a variety of noteworthy thrift stores and flea markets worth seeing - Saint Ouen is home to one of the largest and most popular flea markets! Whether interested in clothes, jewelry, or some small home d茅cor, you will find just about any - and everything there (including the occasional good bargain). Visit as many as you can, even if you just window-shop, you will be sure to enjoy their vibrant atmosphere.
Testimonials From Former RAs
This has been a great opportunity to fully integrate into the 绿巨人视频 community and meet other students. Overall, my experience has been positive, and the Housing Office has been very helpful in assisting me with this job.
In my eyes, there are two sides to the RA job: the 鈥榖uilding manager鈥 and the 鈥榗ommunity builder.鈥 Being a building manager is tough: from general upkeep, maintenance follow-ups and enforcing rules to generally being the go-to reliable question-answerer for 32 students. However, these duties are also meaningful ways for me to constantly build my resourcefulness, problem-solving skills, and accountability. As a community builder, I get to bring people together in fun ways, by making the building an extension of campus and a place that isn鈥檛 just for sleep, but is also a place to live and thrive with other students and friends. Being a community builder is very rewarding, and it鈥檚 a fun way to strengthen my leadership and planning skills.
