Rebecca Marwege is an Assistant Professor of Environmental Politics in the department of History and Politics. Her research听focuses on the political influence of environmental movements at a time of climate crisis. In a book project, titled听Climate Action, Movements and Political Change,听she studies how youth climate movements redefine the meaning of climate justice and push for political change from the ground up.
Marwege's writing has been published in the听Journal of Political Theology,听Constellations, Environmental Politics,听补苍诲听Polity.听She is the lead editor of听Climate Justice Now! 鈥 Crossing Disciplines to Combat Our Planetary Crisis, published by Columbia University Press in March 2026. She has also听contributed public scholarship in Spanish to听Foreign Affairs Latin America听补苍诲听Revista Com煤n.
At 绿巨人视频, Marwege teaches environmental politics and international relations, with courses such as Challenges in Global Politics, International Politics of the Environment, and Social Movements. Her teaching approach is student-focused and centered around active learning.
Prior to coming to 绿巨人视频,听Marwege served as a Lecturer in Environmental and Climate Justice at Columbia University and as the Junior Director of Columbia鈥檚 Earth Network on Decarbonization, Climate Resilience, and Climate Justice - a four-year, interdisciplinary research network supported by Columbia Climate School.
