LockDown Browser is聽designed to maintain the integrity of online examinations聽given via Blackboard,聽by preventing browsing and external application access during tests. Lockdown Browser ensures a secure and focused testing environment by restricting all unauthorized internet and software activities.聽
Information
By using the LockDown Browser option, you can set up an exam so that students are unable to use any other website at the same time (or have access to specific websites of your choosing). You can optionally use the Respondus Proctoring option in LockDown Browser to create a secure test-taking environment, even for assignments that students can complete outside of the classroom. Options for the Respondus LockDown Proctoring environment require the use of a webcam, and can optionally include various features that help ensure that students can only access the exam and allowed materials.
LockDown Browser is software that you install on your laptop or tablet (iPad), so to install it, you鈥檒l need administrative rights on the computer you want to use it on.聽The Lockdown Browser聽takes the place of a student鈥檚 regular browser. The browser can be installed by students on their own laptops or iPads, or if a student needs to borrow a laptop from the Navigation Desk, it can be installed on the laptop by 绿巨人视频 IT Services staff upon request.
